“Over all the camp program was amazing, we had a 3-hour trip home after camp and Ryan could not stop talking about the neat things he did at camp. Each question we asked led him to describe his many experiences very positively. He wants to go back next year. This was his first year and before attending he was a little apprehensive, obviously he loved camp!”

Ryan’s parents, age 12

Dear Barbara,

Camp Huronda would like to thank you once again for your ongoing and continued support to our camp. Your very generous donation will assist us in rejuvenating one of our aging cabins that is home to our medical staff during their stay with us. Each summer Camp Huronda is very fortunate to have some of the leading Endocrinologists, Doctors and Residents work and train with us. With some of the medical cabins being over 30 years old, it is necessary and time that we upgrade these facilities to continue to attract and retain the outstanding medical staff that take such great care of our campers each summer. Without our medical team at Camp Huronda, Camp Huronda could not operate.

So thank you Barb and the Diabetes Hope Foundation for realizing the importance of the medical personnel at Camp Huronda and helping us to thank them by upgrading their facilities.

With sincere appreciation,

Jan Thomas
Manager, Camp Huronda

Dear Barb,

The Diabetes Hope Foundation and your supporters need to be commended for their acts of kindness. As a result of your events, you provided Camp Huronda with well needed docks for our waterfront. The new docks will really make a difference to Camp Huronda.

Your generous support also helped make camp a reality for the following 5 campers requiring financial assistance:

Girl, age 10, from Aurora Ont. New camper. Likes: Crafts and swimming. A little nervous about coming but looking forward to making new friends. Diabetic for 2 yrs. Requires $900.

On that note, I thank you, but most importantly, the kids thank you.

Sincerely,

Jeff Yolleck
