Mentorship Program Application

With a focus on supporting the mental health and well-being of students, the DHF Scholarship Program was expanded in 2011 to include an alumni-driven peer mentorship program for all new scholarship recipients. The program was designed to provide academic and social support during the transition to both post-secondary education and adult diabetes care. Our peer mentors provide a safety net to new students, offering advice and guidance based on shared lived experiences to help students move towards independent diabetes management.
