Dalhousie Diabetes Awareness Society
Our society has 3 main objectives: educating, fundraising, and promoting early diagnosis and lifestyle changes to our community. Education: We aim to teach our Dal community through seminar series, infographics, and presentations. Fundraising: We aim to organize fundraisers such as bake sales, trivia nights, game nights etc. where the proceeds will go to non-profit organizations such as Diabetes Canada and JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Promoting: We aim to use social media, posters, videos etc. to reach our Dal and Halifax communities.
