Welcome to the “SMART BITES” recipe blog! Diabetes Hope Foundation, with the contribution of our T1D community youth leaders, created this blog to offer youth healthy recipes and tips for managing their diet and Type 1 diabetes on campus. It accommodates a range of dietary needs, including celiac disease, lactose intolerance, gluten-free, nut-free, vegetarian, and vegan preferences as well as favorite study snacks and meals. Reviewed by a diabetes educator and registered dietitian, this digital recipe guide helps students maintain a balanced diet to thrive at school.
